The SSM Health/Saint Louis University School of Medicine Breast Imaging Fellowship Program offers comprehensive, multidisciplinary training at an accredited Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center.
A Message From the Program Director
Welcome to the Breast Imaging Fellowship Program.
We are passionate about breast health, and this fellowship provides trainees with high-quality education and clinical training in all aspects of breast imaging. In a supervised academic environment, fellows will become proficient in mammography, ultrasound, and breast MRI interpretation and intervention. They will also have opportunities for teaching and research.

Program Overview
The 12-month breast imaging fellowship includes dedicated training in:
- Digital mammography
- Tomosynthesis
- Breast and axillary ultrasound
- Breast MRI
- Image-guided breast procedures
- Breast cryoablation
Fellows perform a wide range of percutaneous interventional procedures and learn from specialists across breast surgery, breast pathology, radiation oncology, medical oncology and genetics.
Fellows will rotate through SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital. The hospital's breast center is designated as a Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center by the American College of Radiology and is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.

Apply
The fellowship program offers one position per year. Applicants must be graduates of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited diagnostic radiology program and be either board-eligible or certified by the American Board of Radiology.
Requirements
The program participates in FellowshipsCAS, a centralized application service. All applications must be submitted through this portal. Visit the FellowshipsCAS Help Center for FAQs, guides and applicant support.

Interviews and Accreditation
All interviews are held virtually.
The fellowship program is not ACGME-accredited, but it participates in the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI) Fellowship Match Program through the National Resident Matching Program. SBI guidelines are used to accept applications and conduct interviews.
