SLU to Host Geo-Resolution Conference September 10

ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis University will host the 2026 Geo-Resolution conference, “Securing the Future with Geospatial,” at SLU’s Busch Student Center on Sept. 10.

Geo-Resolution is designed to provide participants — especially students — access to geospatial experts from government, academia, innovation hubs, start-up companies and nonprofit organizations. Students will be able to meet local leaders from industry, academia and government to explore geospatial career opportunities.

The annual conference encourages collaboration between government, academia and industry partners to foster geospatial technology innovation and applications, connect geospatial experts and students and grow the geospatial ecosystem in the greater St. Louis region.

Geo-Resolution 2026 discussions will include:

• GEOINT AI
• Quantum Intelligence
• Workforce Transformation

The conference will highlight how, in an era of persistent strategic competition, mastering the geospatial domain through GEOINT AI and quantum intelligence, leveraged by a deliberately transformed workforce, is a national imperative.

Scheduled speakers come from government, industry and academia, including NGA, DARPA, the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, SLU and the University of Missouri.

This year’s ‘Leaders’ Look’ will feature a discussion between Edward Feser, Ph.D., president of SLU; Cara Spencer, mayor of St. Louis; and Ron Kitchens, CEO of Greater St. Louis. Elliott Kellner, president of Taylor Geospatial, will facilitate the discussion.

The keynote address will be delivered by Douglas Cossa, the intelligence community chief of information officer and the primary information technology advisor to the Director of National Intelligence. 

The event will feature a special Industry Insights panel with Jim Kavanaugh, CEO of World Wide Technology.

The conference also features a student mentoring lunch, a poster session, a student geospatial career fair and networking opportunities.

Geo-Resolution 2026 is free and open to the public. The conference will be held in person at Saint Louis University and streamed live on the conference website. Advance registration is required.
