Department of Finance

Meet the Finance Department at SLU

Finance is evolving rapidly as technology and analytics transform how financial decisions are made. At Saint Louis University's Chaifetz School of Business, students learn not only the theory and practice of finance, but how to think, decide and lead as the profession evolves.

The field of finance encompasses three closely related perspectives: how businesses raise and invest capital, how individuals allocate their savings among different investment alternatives, and how markets function to equate the demand for capital by firms and the supply of capital by investors. The Chaifetz School's finance program prepares SLU students for successful careers in finance in an increasingly dynamic, global economy.
