Practice Areas
Professor Cody Gilbert completed his Ph.D. in Pure Mathematics in 2023 at the University
of Iowa, under the guidance of Ryan Kinser. In the same year, Cody joined Saint Louis
University.
His Ph.D. focused on applications of algebraic geometry to the representation theory
of finite-dimensional algebras (sometimes deemed quiver invariant theory). In particular,
he studied moduli spaces in order to better understand the representation theory of
tame algebras. Such moduli spaces now have interesting applications to problems involving
the output and training of neural networks.
